Welcome to ADHD Mom
I have no real qualifications except things I've learned the hard way. And then I forgot what I learned so I had to learn it the hard way again.
I’m a mom with ADHD, a full-time job (plus a part-time job), two kids, and an extremely needy dog.
I don’t have any qualifications regarding ADHD advice - not a doctor, not a coach, not a therapist. I’m a middle manager working in tech and I do some contract work on the side.
I have lived life on hard mode my entire life. I’ve learned a few things about
cleaning my house with no time and zero motivation
getting shit done on no sleep, no ADHD medication and a newborn baby literally strapped to my body almost 24/7
keeping children fed when I can’t remember any recipes they like
keeping chill when literally everyone in the house is making noise at the same exact time and I’m trying to string two thoughts together
I’m mainly starting this so that I can write down things I’ve figured out, and then Google them, because I have ADHD and a bad case of CRS (Can’t Remember Shit). But I also hope what I share here is helpful, and I hope if you’re reading this you’re willing to share what’s worked for you.
You don’t have to be a mom or have ADHD to be here. If you find the struggle of the daily grind nearly insurmountable, I’m with you.
